These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the services provided by Inverness Recovery (Uplift Transport LTD). By booking or using our vehicle recovery, transport or related services, you agree to the following:

Terms & Conditions - the basics 

1. Services Provided

  • Inverness Recovery offers breakdown recovery, accident recovery, vehicle transport, and additional services (such as jump starts, towing and parts procurement) across Inverness and the Highlands.

  • Services are subject to availability and may vary depending on location, weather, access and vehicle type.

2. Quotes & Pricing

  • Prices are provided upfront whenever possible.

  • Final charges may vary depending on distance, access, vehicle condition, waiting time or additional requirements (e.g. specialist equipment, ferry fees).

  • All charges are confirmed with you before work is carried out.

3. Payments

  • Payment is due on completion of the service unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • We accept [insert accepted payment methods: cash, card, bank transfer etc.].

  • Failure to pay may result in the vehicle being held until payment is received.

4. Liability & Limitations

  • While every care is taken, Inverness Recovery is not liable for pre-existing damage to vehicles or issues arising from mechanical defects.

  • We are not responsible for loss or damage to personal items left inside the vehicle during recovery or transport.

  • Delays caused by factors outside our control (traffic, weather, third-party delays) are not guaranteed under ETA times.

5. Customer Responsibilities

  • You must provide accurate details of your vehicle, location and destination.

  • You are responsible for ensuring your vehicle is road legal, unless the service requested is for recovery or transport of a non-runner.

  • Where relevant, you must ensure suitable access for recovery vehicles.

6. Cancellations

  • If you cancel after a recovery vehicle has been dispatched, a call-out fee may apply.

  • Pre-booked transport cancellations should be made at least 24 hours in advance where possible.

7. Use of Subcontractors

  • Inverness Recovery may, at times, use trusted subcontractors or partner garages/mechanics to complete a service. We remain responsible for ensuring they meet our standards.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Scotland and subject to the jurisdiction of Scottish courts.
